China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair)

I
am happy to inform you that buoyed with the response received in the April
2008 edition, FIEO is again participating in the China
Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) to be held from October 15th to 19th, 2008 at Pazhou
Complex, Guangzhou, China. FIEO has been appointed as the India Agent
for International Pavilion for the Canton Fair.
You
may be aware that the Canton fair is
the world’s largest fair and according to available statistics; the last
edition held in April 2008 was visited by 192,013 professional buyers from
211 countries and regions. About 18,207 exhibitors in the National Pavilion
and 514 exhibitors in International Pavilion participated in the last
edition of the fair.
The Fair is a B2B
Fair and no retail sale is permitted.

STANDARD BOOTH
The standard booth of size of 9 sqm is priced at Rs. 1,71,000/- which includes wall panels, fascia board, 4 spot lights (100w), 1 F/L light (40w), carpet, 1 table, 4 chairs, 1 box for mineral water, 1 telephone, 1 rubbish bin; Rent for exhibition space stand equipment and setting up fee, electricity charge of stand equipment, telephone fees in mainland China, stand cleaning, input of exhibitor’s information, 5 products registered on line, 3 exhibitor badges.
RAW SPACE
Raw
space (set up by the exhibitor, minimum 18 sqm) is priced at

arrangements like Travel, Hotel, Visa, Medical Insurance, Local Transport,
Interpreter etc. FIEO would be issuing Visa Recommendation Letters for
Exhibitors.
Exhibit’s
Shipment – The Organizers have appointed official Freight Forwarder and on
site handling agent for the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). All
movement of cargo at the exhibition ground will be through the appointed
agent. Details will be provided on confirming participation.
MDA GRANT
MDA
shall be available to eligible exporters as per the MDA guidelines up to a
maximum financial ceiling of Rs. 80,000/- towards booth charges. However,
for priority sectors like agriculture including food items, handicrafts,
handlooms, carpets, leather & minor forest produce, MDA assistance upto
Rs. 1,50,000/- would be available provided other conditions are satisfied.
Exporters who are members of Export Promotion Councils are also eligible for
MDA grant.
Since there are limited booths available which shall be
allotted on first come first served basis, you are requested send the
complete payment by way of Demand Draft in favour of “Federation of
Indian Export Organisations”, payafdble at New Delhi alonge with duly filled Registration
Form, Participation Application
& Participation Provision. Last date for confirming participation is August 18, 2008.
