“Gifts & Home Products – China Sourcing Fair”

FIEO is participating in “China Sourcing Fair - Gifts & Home Products”, which will held during October 20-23, 2008 at AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong. The fair has become a must attend event of its industry in Hong Kong, The April 2007 edition attracted 31,808 buyers from 137 countries and territories. The details of the fair are as follows:

: 

Not allowed in the fair. The fair is open to trade buyers only.

Booth Cost

: 

Built up booth of 9 sqm @ Rs 1,72,000/-. The facility will include Fascia with company name; White panel walls (2.5m H); Two leather arm chairs; One square table; two layers of display shelves (3m L); Lockable cabinet (3m L); One waste paper basket; Five 100 W long arm spotlights; Carpeted floor.

VISA 

 

According to Hong Kong Immigration Department, nationals of most foreign countries can visit Hong Kong visa-free for short term stays. In case of India, 14 days visa free period is there. However, exhibitors are advised to visit www.immd.gov.hk for more information.

 

MDA

 

MDA shall be available to eligible exporters as per the MDA guidelines up to a maximum financial ceiling of Rs. 80,000/- towards booth charges. However, for priority sectors like agriculture including food items, handicrafts, handlooms, carpets, leather & minor forest produce, MDA assistance upto Rs. 1,50,000/- would be available provided other conditions are satisfied. Exporters who are members of Export Promotion Councils are also eligible for MDA grant.
