I am happy to inform you that FIEO is participating in Vietnam Trade Expo 2008 scheduled for December 10-14, 2008 at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.   Vietnam Trade Expo is one of the well known Trade Fairs in the world.  Every year, the Fair provides an essential meeting point and establishing business contacts under Multi Product platform.

VISITORS PROFILE

  •   In Vietnam Trade Expo 2007 over 200 companies  participated of which 45% were overseas participants. 

  • Companies from 20 countries participated

  • About 20,000 trade visitors apart from about 50,000 other category visitors visited the Trade Fair

As the fastest emerging market of South East Asia,  Vietnam offers vast scope for Indian products and services.  India has also started sharing favourable trade relations with Vietnam .  This Trade Expo provides a very good opportunity for the Indian exporters to show case their potential to explore not only the Vietnam market but also the nearby countries.

 

Vietnam Trade Expo 2008 is sponsored and supported by: Ministry of Trade & Industry of Vietnam , Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Ministry of Planning & Investment of Vietnam , People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and other related Ministries, Branches and Organizations. 

 

FIEO is one of the co-organisers of the event.  A wide publicity support is being arranged by the organizers through  Trade & Industrial Review, Sai Gon Economic Times, Vietnam Economic Times, Business Forum, Voice of Vietnam (VOV), Vietnam Television (VTV), HCMC Broadcasting & Television and also through other mediums to give extensive publicity for the participants. 

 

BOOTH

 

The cost of standard booth size of 9 sq.mtr with 3 m X 3 m partitions; carpeted floor; fascia with exhibitor’s name in English; one information counter; two charis; electricity connection is Rs. 1,02,000/-.

 

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION

 

Duly filled in application form should be submitted along with full payment latest by 31st August 2008 .  The payment should be made by way of DD/cheque in favour of “Federation of Indian Export Organisations” payable at Chennai.  Reservation request will be considered only after receiving 100% payment.  40% cancellation charges will be applicable if reservation is cancelled before 30th September 2008 .  Any cancellation after this date would result in 100% forfeiture.  Acceptance/selection of application and allocation of space will be at the sole discretion of FIEO.

 

OTHER ARRANGEMENTS

 

All the confirmed participants need to make their own arrangements for travel, hotel accommodation, visa, medical insurance, local transport etc.  However, the organizers have tie up with hotels in Ho Chi Minh City and the details will be sent on request.  FIEO will issue necessary visa recommendation letter to the participants. 

 

MDA GRANT

 

MDA Grant up to Rs.1.50 lakhs is available to eligible exporters as per MDA Guidelines.  Assistance would be permissible on travel expenses by air in economy excursion class fare and charges of the built-up furnished stall.  However, eligibility for grant is subject to exporting companies having FOB value of exports upto Rs.15 crores in the preceding year having completed 12 months membership with FIEO or any Export Promotion Council/Commodity Boards.  As per the Notification of Department of Commerce dated November 26, 2007 , members of other Export Promotion Councils participating in FIEO’s activities are eligible for MDA grant provided other conditions satisfy.  For this, a no-objection certificate is required to be submitted to FIEO from the respective council.
