Some of the Important Announcements of the Government during October, 2006 DGFT Public Notice No. 61(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 5thOctober 2006 specifies the Capital goods which are not allowed under Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojana in Appendix 37B. Mumbai, Kandla, New Mangalore and Mundra are added in the list of Ports through which Import of Wheat at Zero Duty is allowed vide Public Notice 62(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 12thOctober, 2006. M/sQuality Assurance Service, Bangalore is replaced by M/sSAI Global Limited, Mumbai in list of IS/ISO 9000 series (Appendix 6) Vide Public Notice No.64 dated 20thOctober, 2006. Public Notice No.65(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 20thOctober, 2006 announce the All Industry Rate of Drawback @ Rs.1050 per M.T for both HSD and Furnace Oil, supplied by Domestic Oil Companies to EOUs under various Schemes as contained in Chapter 4, 6 and 8 of the Foreign Trade Policy. Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate has been made mandatory for all import consignments of Metallic Waste and Scrap from 1stApril, 2007 as per Public Notice No.66(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 23rdOctober, 2006. Amendments/deletion/corrections and additions in the Input Output Norms in respect of product groups – Chemicals & Allied Products and Engineering products have been notified by Public Notice No. 67(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 30thOctober, 2006. Duty Credit issued under Vishesh Krishi and Gram Udyog Yojana also be used for import of Capital goodsas per Notification No.35(RE-2006)/2004-09 dated 5thOctober 2006.
